RFP Description

Location: Frederick, Maryland. The Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity (DHACA) intends to award a Firm-Fix Price, sole source contract on behalf of the United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) to Hologic Sales and Service, LLC, 250 Campus Drive, Marlborough, Massachusetts 01752, under the authority of 41 USC 1901, as implemented in Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) 12.102 Restricting competition. This requirement is for annual preventative, and unscheduled maintenance and repair services to allow for the continuous and efficient functioning of a Hologic Panther Fusion system currently in use by the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID). Annual preventative maintenance services shall include the instrument manufacturers recommended maintenance. Hologic Sales and Service, LLC maintains proprietary ownership of their equipment and all associated operational software. Given the information above, Hologic Sales and Service, LLC is the only vendor capable of providing the required maintenance and repair services meeting the Governments needs. This notice of intent is NOT a request for quotations (RFQ) and no solicitation document exists for the requirement; however, if a vendor challenges the basis of this requirement, please submit a capability statement that includes sufficient detail and with convincing evidence that clearly demonstrates the capability to provide these services. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. A request for documentation or additional information or submissions that only ask questions will not be considered as an affirmative response. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement or to proceed with a sole source procurement. Capability statements are due no later than 1000 Eastern Time, 08 June 2026.
