RFP Description
Location: Virginia. The AFWFB will requires two (2) wildland fire vehicle package builds/apparatus onto existing vehicle chassis. The requested services will install/build Fire related equipment and supply products onto existing 2024 Chevy K5500 4x4 (provided by the AFWFB). The requirement does not include purchasing a vehicle but attaches and installs equipment onto provided vehicles such as pumps, generators, hoses, hose fittings/reels, storage, containment, compartments, control panels, suppression equipment, compressors, valves, gauges, etc., as indicated below. The contractor shall provide and create an upgrade to the existing truck, converting it into a usable fire fighting vehicle (Type 6 Wildland Light Engine). The completed wildland fire vehicles will be primarily used in support of prescribed and wildland fire suppression activities in accordance with this specification.
